About the book prompt

Deception's Pass. a mystery thriller involving a retired detective who gets settled into a new seatown that is small enough to have many people connected but big enough for an impact. and the town leaders are into some shady stuff, and the detective's own daughter moved to the town years ago and the detective retired there to be with her. the detective's daughter was engaged but her fiance got murdered and so the detective came out of retirement to solve the case.
